Working with Jen has been amazing! She has a sensible, no nonsense approach to exercise that makes it easy to fit it into your every day schedule. Following Jen's advice and routine, I definitely saw good results with significant inches lost. Her workouts are fresh and so much fun!
Finding the gym rather intimidating, my friend and I started one day a week with Jen. We're mothers in our 50s, not in great shape, a little overweight - you get the picture. Jen is an excellent motivator and makes you work hard. She has a great sense of humour and is a pro at cajoling you along while having a good laugh. She is flexible and easy to work with; you'll be comfortable the minute you walk through her door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jen to anyone looking for a good workout in a casual, private setting.
I’m approaching the one year anniversary of working with Jen as my personal trainer. I started out working out with her 3 days per week with the plan of moving it down to 1 day a week when I reached my goal. Here I am now at my goal but still coming 3 days per week – I’m addicted!! Jen’s ever changing program has helped me not only lose weight and inches but it has also improved my core strength and posture which is so important as I approach age 40. Her cheerful attitude on those dark, rainy mornings makes working out fun and I look forward to every session where she continues to keep me motivated and challenged. When I initially searched for a trainer I was told that not only did I have to find someone qualified and good at their job, but that I also needed to find someone I liked to be around 3 hours per week, one on one. I’m so lucky to have found Jen as she is definitely that person!
I was very apprehensive to get back into a fitness regime and Jen's Bootcamp has been perfect for me. Her classes provide a great combination of a group workout where you don't notice how hard your are breathing as well as individual attention when you need correction on techniques. Jen provides the perfect amount of encouragement, yet understands individual limitations. I would recommend Jen's classes to anyone interested in fitness, whether they are a beginner or super athlete. It's a great combination of fun and fitness and no class is ever the same.
As a mom with a preschooler it's been challenging to fit in a decent workout in between FT work, volunteering and mommyhood. At Jen's private gym I can bring my daughter and she participates in workouts or plays with the great library and toy corner right in her gym. In just four months I lost all the baby weight I was trying to get rid of for the past three years. My clothes hang better and I feel great! I also don't have the guilt of leaving my daughter at home to work out because she's with me. Jen has a great attitude. She sets realistic targets and exercises and best of all - I am seeing awesome results!!! Thanks Jen! I'm addicted.
Before I started working with Jen I had not worked out in 2 years. I was intimidated by the personal trainers at my local gym. Working out in a private studio with Jen (who is super friendly & encouraging) is the perfect balance for me. Since I started working out 6 months ago I have not only lost weight & inches but I also feel stronger & much more energetic. My L4 & L5 disc herniation/sciatica (which caused me to stop working out 2 years ago) is no longer a constant source of pain. In fact, the back pain no longer interferes with my day to day life which is a result that is priceless to me!
Jen's Indoor Bootcamp is dynamic exercise in a very relaxed atmosphere. No two classes are ever the same! I really appreciate how Jen takes the time to answer any questions or concerns throughout the workout. Her
expertise in nutrition, balances programs for weight loss and overall
health adds a great deal to every class, I always come away with new
knowledge and a deeper understanding of my body.
When I first went to Jen's personal training studio to try out her fitness programme, one thing that I told her was that I probably would not finish it, because I hated exercising, and had tried every kind of fitness class there was out there but never stuck to it. I have been going to her for almost a year now, maybe longer and I can honestly say that I never missed a single day. Even when I was sick, or feeling miserable I knew that after one hour with Jen I would feel so much better. For some reason I’ve stuck to it, enjoyed it, and though I’m often out of the country, I always look forward to returning to her gym. Thanks Jen, you’ve been an inspiration to me!
Jen has a great demeanour. She always finds that delicate balance. She is able to push you without you even knowing you are being pushed. She keeps you on track without having to hound you. The hour passes by quickly and you actually look forward to coming back.
Jen is a great motivator and will make you work hard but all with a smile on her face. She is very accommodating (especially those with small children) and is a true professional.
Jen has been our family's personal trainer for over a year. Between the four of us, being myself, my husband, 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son, we have lost over 125 pounds! We are extremely pleased with the direction, support and direction Jen's training has given us for this accomplishment which we know would not have been possible without her.
We would highly recommend Jen as a personal trainer for all ages!
